National Weather Service Barometric Pressure

The our local National Weather Service office will provide us with the uncorrected, absolute pressure by phone. Their phone number (it’s a public, government office so no problems posting it) is 775-673-8100. This helpful service means we don’t need our own barometer. Their elevation is 1520 m and we are at 1390 m (3rd floor), a difference of about 100 m, and the difference is probably within the uncertainty of our gauge, so I’m not worried about correcting that.
